ABOUT ME

My name is Rita. I live in Cheltenham, United Kingdom. I’m a freelance writer. I specialize in writing in Polish. I hold a Master of Arts in Polish Literature. I graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Poland) in 2008. My thesis was on Bruno Schulz who is regarded as one of the great Polish-language prose stylists of the 20th century.

Writing is my passion. I started writing when I was 14 years old, I attended literary workshops for teenagers. I won some literary competitions. During my studies, I worked as a proofreader and editor. After graduation,  I won an internship in one of the biggest e-commerce companies in Poland. There I was trained as a web copywriter. I decided to go freelance in 2010 when I set up my first business.

The specific areas I’m interested in and write are e-commerce (blogs, products descriptions, SEO), and business websites.

I’m also interested in writing about heritage, folklore, literature & art.

In 2018 I self-publish a book about the English cider for Polish-speaking readers. More about this project (in Polish) is here: www.historiacydru.pl

I have worked with small and medium-sized businesses, marketing agencies, charities, magazines, individuals (Poland, England, Spain).
